Discussion of: Destiny Eclipse: Corner Stones

Xander Vos Sith Emperor Joined: 08 Jan 2006 Posts: 19752 Location: The Sith Temple As evident from the name and the DP, this short story sequel to Destiny Eclipse deals with each of the four Vos children following their father's death. Secondary characters that I've put in the DP, including the two Counsellors - one of them being Nekris, my own invention from an RP with a former Apprentice - and Hexer - who on reading Matas' description of him COULD NOT pass up including - were both going to be characters in Matas' fanfiction, set after DE, in which he had created a new Council, and I had worked into the end of DE. As is, I'm not sure its going to be completed, but will be using his names and descriptions for the Council in this, although they will only appear in a few chapters. As with Rive's story, this story should only be about 7-8 chapters long, although UNLIKE Rive's, I don't intend to accompany each chapter with illustrations, sorry. As my exams finished today I have a lot more time on my hands and will be diving head first into this story, which I've been eager to start for a while now. Unlike DE, however, I'm going back to the more traditional FF method of posting a chapter as I write it. This may however result in some inconsistencies as I alter slightly my intentions, but hopefully the fun factor remains. _________________ Time to start again.

So if I was outlining Empire Strikes Back it'd be something like... Chapter One: Empire finds Rebel base. Chapter Two: Empire attacks Rebel base. Luke goes in a different direction than everyone else for Jedi training. Chapter Three: Han and Leia get in trouble, making Luke stop his training early. Chapter Four: Luke is stopped from saving Han and Leia by Darth Vader. Chapter Five: Darth Vader is revealed to be Darth Vader's father. Chapter Six: Everyone except Han escapes. No details. Nothing about the Wampa attack, nothing about Yoda, nothing about Han actually getting frozen - just that he doesn't escape for some reason, nothing about the asteroid field. Just hard plot points. This time I'm going with the more traditional write a chapter and post it. Yeah, I do the same, I have the outline of CS already, or else I'd be completely lost. DE's is about four pages long though. I don't just write hard plot points, I go into a bit of detail about what I expect to happen in each chapter, and then flesh it out when actually writing. _________________ Time to start again.

It seems everyone's creative juices have been at a low - no knew Arkua or Malice posts in ages, and no new chapters for this or Rive's story, which I'm kind of using as an excuse as to why I haven't gotten around to it. Truth be told, schools getting a bit hectic, with my final year of school kicking of in a term and a bit's time. _________________ Time to start again.
