This is the opposite of the "vampire" thread, so get lost if glitter gives you a hardon.

Now, best badasses. Any character from any film, book, video game, and even song. Even real people. List your favorites and why they are worthy.

'ere mine:

Most GTA characters (Claude, Tommy, Niko, Johnny) cause Ray Liotta voiced tommy, and the rest are brutal killers.

47 from the Hitman videogames. nuff said.

Johnny Cash. Great music. Punch you if you say otherwise.

I'll have plenty more, but now you post...

Anyone from gears, even Carmine.  Anyone who only gets knocked down from 50 rounds and an explosive arrow to the chest is a hardass.

Since I gotta give a Firefly example, well - pretty much every character gets at least a moment of this - but The Operative in Serenity (the movie) is pretty much always this ("If your quarry goes to ground, leave no ground to go to.").

Star Wars I'll just give the bounty hunter examples: Boba Fett - before Karen Traviss got her mitts on him. Cad Bane - maximum levels of it for a kid's show.

I'll also throw in the fact that Sarah Connor took a level in it for everything after the first movie.

This.

Arkantos from Age of Mythology could, I suppose, be a bad***.

Sgt. Hale from Resistance.

Hannibal Lector.

Adolf Hitler.

Pope John Paul II (he was like Obama, but had even more super powers).

MAYBE Dante in the videogame Dante's Inferno (Dante's Divine Comedy had a boring, poetic Dante. That isn't to say it's not a great piece of classical literature, just that Dante isn't a 'bad***' character).

General Grievous??? If he wasn't killed off five minutes into the movie (actually, I felt Lucas' way of portraying him was fine).

Davy Jones & Cutler Beckett (Pirates of Caribbean).

Glenn Beck (that guy is bad***).

Vlad Dracula- the historically accurate leader (...)

Count Dooku you mean? Grievous survives up until Order 66, basically. Well past the amount of time say, Jabba the Hutt, lived on screen.

Grievous doesn't qualify anyway, I'd say. At least not in the movies. Since the majority of what he does is run away Razz

Didn't know alcoholic cry babies could be badasses

Navy Seals, Delta Force, and Green Berets are all on my list. Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell series. Captain Kirk because he can kick butt and screw aliens. Clint Eastwood in Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

As far as SW goes:

The Republic Commandos > ARC troopers > 501st cause dey slaughtered by Ewoks

Also Kyle Katarn.

As we alll are.

I'd also add Auron from FFX, and Chainer and Kamahl, both from a book series none of you have ever read.

Oh and Grey Fox, how could I almost forget?
